2026 Kia EV9 vs Tesla Model X Performance V
The EV9 spans five trims. Rear-drive Light models make 215 horsepower with the 76.1 kWh battery or 201 horsepower with the 99.8 kWh battery, and the all-wheel-drive Wind, Land and GT-Line all make 379 horsepower, with 443 lb-ft on the Wind and Land or 516 lb-ft on the GT-Line and on Wind and Land with Boost engaged.
Tesla publishes peak power for the Model X at 670 horsepower, and 1,020 horsepower for the Model X Plaid, but does not publish torque or battery capacity for either. The Plaid's quoted 2.5-second run to 60 mph is stated with rollout subtracted, a drag-strip convention. On towing, the EV9 Land and GT-Line are rated at 5,000 pounds regardless of which wheels you choose.

2026 Kia EV9 vs Tesla Model X Technology V
The EV9 uses an 800-volt architecture and accepts up to 235 kW on the smaller battery or 210 kW on the larger one, reaching 10 to 80 percent in 20 to 24 minutes. Inside, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 5-inch climate display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen run across the dash on every trim, with six fast-charge USB ports spread two per row.
Tesla's approach is a single central touchscreen with no instrument cluster, backed by the Supercharger network. Tesla quotes 179 miles of range added in 15 minutes, though its own footnote explains that figure is calculated from energy added at a constant 65 mph rather than measured on a charge session. The Model X is EPA-estimated at 352 miles; the EV9 reaches 305 miles in its longest-range form.
